Funeral services for Larry Wayne Belk, of Ringold, Okla., were held Friday, July 3, 2026 at Valliant Assembly of God.

Larry Wayne Belk, age 79, passed from his earthly life on June 29, 2026. Larry passed on the 58th anniversary of marriage to his beloved wife, Sharon. Larry had been ill for a very short time and was in the hospital, visiting with Sharon and joking with the nurses when he suddenly stopped talking and was gone.

Larry Belk was an outdoorsperson. He loved hunting trips with family and friends to the Colorado mountains to hunt elk. He thrived being outdoors visiting with family and friends while sitting under the carport –– summer or winter. He loved sitting on the back porch in the early mornings, reading his Bible, sipping coffee, and watching the deer and his horses.

Larry liked working with his hands. He spent most of his career building huge bandsaws for the sawmill industry and then repairing them. He could fix anything. He enjoyed repairing old vehicles including his prize possession, a 1968 Ford pickup that he bought new not long before he married the love of his life. Larry loved to aggravate and pick on everyone but mostly his wife and sisters-in-law and you could hear “Larry!” at any time. Most of all, Larry loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was the best husband, Peepaw, and Daddy in the world. Larry was born July 31,1946 in Ringold, Okla., to Mary and Clayton Belk. He lived his entire life within a few miles of the place where he was born. Larry leaves behind his wife, Sharon Belk (Rice); daughter, Coylenna Bain and husband; son, Larry W. Belk, Jr.; two grandchildren and their spouses. Larry is survived by his brothers: Clayton Belk, Jr. and Russell Belk, both of California. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, and a brother-in-law, plus many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Ray Belk, James Belk, DV Belk; a sister-in-law, and two brothersin- law. Services were under the direction of Miller &

Miller Funeral Home.
