Leottie Ridge

Funeral services for Leottie Ridge, of Paris, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. March 28, 2024 at Soper Assembly of God. Leottie passed away March 23, 2024, at the age of 95. Leottie Christine Ridge was born on May 16, 1928 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of John Virgil Ridge and Rena Bell (Eakin) Ridge. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Arthur Coleman Ridge and sisters: Mildred Routon and Irene May.

Leottie grew up and lived much of her life in Soper, Okla., where she was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She spent the last 20 years of her life in Paris, Texas. Leottie was known for being a sweet and kind lady. She enjoyed being outside, she had a green thumb and enjoyed working in her garden. She loved children, animals and all of God’s creations. The mere sight of a child would put the biggest smile on her face. Leottie was a very creative and talented lady who loved to play music, especially the piano. She loved going to church, but above all things she loved the Lord. Leottie will be missed, and her memory cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Leottie is survived by a host of nephews, nieces, great- and great-great and even greatgreat-great nieces and nephews along with other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28 at the Assembly of God in Soper, prior to funeral services.

Interment will follow at Soper Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Corgill officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
