Linnie May Maxine (Jackman) Stillwell
Funeral services for Linnie May Maxine (Jackman) Stillwell, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. She passed away Feb. 16, 2025, at the age of 90.
Linnie Maye Maxine (Jackman) Stillwell was born on May 5, 1934 in Chicota, Texas, the daughter of Arch Jackman and Rosa Ann (Evett) Jackman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, JB Stillwell; daughters: Vaness McMahan and Lavena Stromire; brothers: Clayton Jackman, Jay Jackman, Alonzo Jackman and Fudd Jackman and sisters: Mallie Estella Martin and Phyrm Lindsey.
Maxine married her beloved husband, James Beary “JB” Stillwell on Feb. 9, 1952 in DeQueen, Ark., and later moved to Soper, Okla., in 1991. She was a bank teller at Security First National Bank for more than 20 years and moved to First Texoma Bank in Boswell where she later retired. Maxine never missed her weekly hair appointment on Thursdays at Linda’s Beauty Shop in Soper. She loved seeing and visiting with many of the people she had met from her numerous years in the banking industry. Maxine loved spending time with her friends and family, drinking coffee and catching up on all of the news. She was very active in her community, a member of First Assembly of God Church in Soper and loved her family, but loved the Lord above things. Maxine will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Maxine is survived by her son, Billy Stillwell of Soper; seven grandchildren, along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Interment followed the service at Forest Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
