Norma Jean Magby, 85, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Shelbyville.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Community Baptist Church in Huxley, with Bro. Don Rickey officiating. Additional funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, Okla., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.
Born Sept. 26, 1940 in Vashti, Texas, Norma is the daughter of Ruby Minica Farmer and Clarence Farmer. She worked as a cosmetologist for many years and even taught cosmetology. Norma was a member of Community Baptist Church in Huxley.
She is survived by her husband, Albert (Bud) Magby of Huxley; children: Johnny Magby and wife of Huxley, Mike Magby and wife of Fort Towson, Okla., and Melonie Bradshaw and husband of Center; six grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren; sisters: Lou Awalt and Nina Sapp; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Minica Farmer and Clarence Farmer; and sisters: Bernice Coffee and Inda Dillard.
Arrangements are under the direction of Watson and Sons Funeral Home and Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
