Body

Norris Ray Fluellen entered Heaven’s gates on Oct. 9, 2021, after a hardfought battle with various health issues. He was 69 years old.

Norris was born on Feb. 20, 1952 in Hugo, Okla., to Grover and Frances (Nash) Fluellen. He graduated from Hugo High School in May of 1970. He immediately went to work for Brown & Root (KBR) and remained employed for the next 40 years. He held the title of administration manager/H.R. His job required him to travel all over the world. Norris married Cathy Hair, the love of his life, in August 1984. When he did have time off, Norris and Cathy enjoyed vacationing all over the U.S., as well as other parts of the world. Their home was in Houston, Texas. After retirement they moved to Hugo so Norris could be near his beloved brother, Ralph. Norris was preceded in death by his par ents; grandparents; brother, Ralph Fluellen, and a brother-in-law.

He leaves behind to cherish in memory, his wife, Cathy of the home; his sons: Ian Maness and wife of Philomath, Ore., and Nicholas Fluellen and wife of Richardson, Texas; three grandsons, one granddaughter; twin sister, Marsha (Fluellen) Popchoke; one nephew; three nieces; three great-nephews; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; as well as many other friends and relatives.

Norris was a kind, caring man. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He had a work ethic that was above reproach. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial service will be held for Norris Fluellen at a later date, under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
