Rhonda (Teague) Flanary
Funeral services for Rhonda (Teague) Flanary, of Paris, Texas will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 8, 2024 at First United Methodist Church in Paris, Texas. Rhonda Joyce Flanary was born on Aug. 19, 1954 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of Billy E. Teague and Velma Lee (Hill) Teague. She entered Heaven after a brief battle with cancer on Aug. 4, 2024 in Paris, Texas, at the age of 69. Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ron Flanary and brother, Monty Teague.
Rhonda was a graduate of Hugo High School, Class of 1972. She and a group of her closest friends were all members of “The 72 Girls” and have remained close throughout the years. Rhonda loved to swim and spent all her time in the pool. She hated winter and counted the days until the beginning of summer. She loved to decorate and had a great sense of humor. Rhonda enjoyed spending time with her family, laughing and reminiscing. She was a caregiver and would take in anyone who needed love and care. Rhonda was a member of Connections First United Methodist Group and served “FOOD WITH FRIENDS” at City Square in Paris, Texas, to the homeless and hungry neighbors and enjoyed filling the Blessing Boxes in the area.
Rhonda is survived by her sons: Ryan and spouse of Paris, Texas, and Josh of Long Beach, Miss.; daughters: Reagan and spouse of Wailuka, Hawaii, Maggie and spouse of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Jenna of Hugo; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Patti Testerman and husband of Hugo, along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church, 322 Lamar Ave in Paris, Texas, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Interment will follow the service at Shoat Springs Cemetery in Hugo with Pastor Katherine Strempke and Pastor Katrina Smith officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ray Gene Jones and Susan Payne, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
