Services for Robert Eugene McCormick are pending with Burroughs Funeral Home in North Carolina.

Robert Eugene Mc-Cormick, 43, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, July 22, 2025, at his home.

Robert was born on Feb. 21, 1982 in Shreveport, La. He was an avid outdoorsman. Robert loved fishing, hunting and especially riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed cooking, canning and grilling. Robert also had a large knife collection. He was very good with his hands and could often be found building smokers and rebuilding old fishing reels.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael McCormick; mother, Vickie Taylor; sister, Annette; and a brother, Michael.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Caroline Bowers McCormick; his “mom,” Nadine Roberts; stepchildren: Stephanie Brobst and Ty Bowers; sisters: Stevvi Hambleton and Christina Doyle; and numerous other uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
