Rodney Jones

Memorial services for Rodney Jones, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Rodney passed away April 4, 2023, at the age of 63.

Rodney Glenn Jones was born on Dec. 25, 1959, in Las Vegas, Nev., the son of Melvin Jones and Lucy Coe Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rodney had been a resident of Hugo, Okla., since 1978 and married the love of his life, Terri Simpson on Dec. 27, 1980, in Las Vegas. He enjoyed reading, computers and watching hot rod television shows. Rodney also enjoyed woodworking and playing dominoes and even though he was disabled in 1992, he always stayed active and loved working outdoors. His passing has left a void in the lives of his loved ones, and he will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rodney is survived by his wife of 42 years, Terri; sons: Russell Jones and wife and Jeremy Jones and wife all of Hugo; seven grandchildren; brother, Terry Wayne Jones of Hugo; sister, Margie Ashcraft and husband of Sherman, Texas, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Bro. John Pennell and Russell Jones officiated the service with Bro. Louis Walker assisting, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
