Ross Edwin King

Graveside services for Ross Edwin King, of Rattan, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. March 12, 2025 at Belzoni Cemetery. Ross passed away March 9, 2025, at the age of 75.

Ross Edwin King was born on Oct. 8, 1949, in Paris, Texas, the son of Ross Willard King and Bertha (Cody) King. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ross lived in Pushmataha County all of his life and was a diesel mechanic and machine operator. He graduated from Rattan High School, Class of 1967, and studied diesel mechanics at Okmulgee Tech. Ross married the love of his life, Edwanna Thompson, on June 30, 1972 in Wright City. He loved going to deer camp, dancing and living the rodeo life. Ross enjoyed visiting and was always ready for a good conversation. He loved to watch his granddaughters show animals and was a supporter of the local 4-H and Ag Chapter. Ross loved his family and was always supportive of their endeavors. He will be greatly missed by his family and community.

Ross is survived by his wife, Edwanna King of the home; son, Cody Ross King and wife of Belzoni, Okla.; two granddaughters; brother, Gale King and wife of Ringold, Okla.; three nieces; numerous great-nieces and nephews, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Bro. Johnny Corgill officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
