Ruth Helen Glenn, of Grant, Okla., passed away Jan. 26, 2023, at the age of 86.

Ruth Helen (Hanes) Glenn was born on Feb. 2, 1936, in Grant, Okla., the daughter of Jessie Hanes and Grace Faye (Davis) Hanes. She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband and the father of her children, David Glenn; brother, James Hanes and sister, Retha Faye Hyatt.

Ruthie grew up and lived in the Grant area most of her life. She had been a resident of the Baptist Village in Hugo for the last seven years. Ruthie enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing and dancing. She was known for being a “spit fire” and would always stand up for her family. Ruthie loved to spoil her children and all of her grandand great-grand babies. She loved her family fiercely and they always came first. Ruthie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Ruthie is survived by sons: David Glenn, Jr. of Grant and James Glenn and wife of Hugo; her daughter, Judy Cochnauer and husband, whom Ruthie loved as a son, of Sawyer, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; sister, Jessie Hawthorne of Burleson, Texas, along with host of other friends, family and loved ones.

Arrangements are under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
