Sherrie Olivia Vansickle

Graveside services for Sherrie Olivia Vansickle were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020 at at the Restland Cemetery in Boswell, Okla., with Jarrod Wright officiating.

Sherrie went to be with the Lord on Aug. 18, 2020 in Boswell, at the age of 69.

Sherrie was born on June 9, 1951 to Gus and Della Bea (Moses) Duncan in Hugo, Okla. She married John David Vansickle on Oct. 19, 1968 in Ft. Smith, Ark. Sherrie worked as a bank teller for the Boswell State Bank for 20 years. She loved to work outside, cooking, sewing, playing bingo and was an avid football watcher. Sherrie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Boswell, Okla., and was a long time member of the Choctaw County Home Extension. Sherrie is preceded in death by her husband, John David Vansickle; her parents: Gus and Della Bea Duncan; and a niece.

She is survived by two children: Leslee Hyde and husband of Stroud, Okla., and Jason Dean Vansickle of Oklahoma; one brother, Harry Duncan and wife of Mannsville, Okla.; three grandchildren, a niece, a nephew and great-niece; other nieces, church family and friends are going to miss Sherrie.

Services were under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
