Shirley Ann Horn

In loving memory of Shirley Ann Horn: former Food Service Manager for Hugo Public Schools.

Shirley poured her heart and soul into the mommunity through her service to the children at the Hugo Public Schools for 25 years as the cafeteria manager. She passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her son, Garry Horn, and her loving husband, Larry Horn.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2023 at the Prater-Lampton- Mills & Coffey Chapel, with burial following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Okla.

Shirley Ann Horn was born on Sept. 6, 1936, in Durant, Okla., the daughter of Russell Brown and Geraldine (Maples) Brown.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Sherri Grace of Broken Bow, Okla.; one son and life partner, Steven Horn and Christopher Bostad of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren include: Amie Sherwood of Houston, Texas, Samuel Horn and wife, Candace of Mena, Ark., James Horn and wife, Derrah of Mena, Ark., Christopher Grace and wife, Charlsie of Vancouver, Wash.; great-grandchildren include: Aiden Sherwood of Houston, Zach Horn of Mena, Zoie Horn of Mena, Kyelee Horn of Mena, Lexie Horn of Mena; and her sister, Judy Hutson of Hugo.
