Funeral services for Sue Donna Hampton, of Hugo, Okla., were held Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Restland Cemetery in Boswell. Sue Donna Hampton was born in Bennington, Okla., on Sept. 14, 1939 and entered her heavenly home on May 28, 2025 in Hugo, at the age of 85. She was the daughter of Jodie and Grace Hampton. Sue lived her high school years in Boswell and after graduating from Boswell High School, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she lived for 36 years. She later moved to Sherman, Texas, in 1994 and lived there for seven years before retiring in 2001 and moving back to Boswell. She moved to Durant, Okla., in 2012. She was a member of the Boswell Baptist Church.

She worked for Transcon Freight Lines for 22 years in Dallas. Sue was a Leasing Consultant and Social Director for Conam Management Company in Dallas before moving to Sherman. She worked for Texoma Council of Government and for MHMR Services of Texoma in Sherman. Sue was also a member of the Women’s Transportation Club of Dallas for 12 years, holding offices of First Vice President, Editor of newsletter and Corresponding Secretary.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Jodie and Grace Hampton; sister, Joyce Sample of Sherman, Texas, and brother, Bill Hampton of Antlers, Okla.; and a great niece.

Sue is survived by her sister, Jody Vansickle and brother, Ronnie Hampton and wife of Boswell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews and a great-great-great-niece and nephew, as well as other family and friends.

Services were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
