Susan Johnson
Susan Johnson, 59, passed from this life on Dec. 18, 2025 in Rattan, Okla. She was born Dec. 20, 1965 in Hugo, Okla., to Clyde Johnson and Janie “Skeet” (Morris) Johnson.
Susan lived in the Rattan area for the majority of her life. She was known for being “the cookie lady” and the love she put into cooking for the kiddos and employees at the Cabbage Patch Daycare in Hugo, where she worked for more than 35 years. Susan enjoyed fishing, watching Christian Hallmark movies, and playing dominoes and other games with anyone who would sit down and play with her. She was a prayer warrior and had many prayer buddies. Susan loved spending time with her niece and nephews. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends, and never hesitated to put everyone else first. Susan was always willing to lend a helping hand and was loved by all who knew her. She will be truly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Clyde and Janie Johnson; Hollie Green; and great-nephew; Waylon Johnson.
Susan is survived by her sister, Carla Reed and husband, Keith of Rattan; nephew, Andrew Johnson of Rattan; great-nephews: Chris Johnson and Rainey of Moyers, Okla., Chance Johnson of Rattan, Mason Ryan of Lane, Okla., Elijah Rodgers of Rattan, and Isaiah Bagley of Rattan; niece, Miya Bagley of Rattan; as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Susan’s family would like to say a special thank you to the Cabbage Patch Daycare, for all the love and support they have shown Susan over the years, and Elara Caring Hospice for the kindness and delicate care they gave Susan and her family. A Funeral service for Susan Johnson was held Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025 at the Spencerville Church, in Spencerville, Okla., with Jonathan McDaniel and Raymond Humphrey officiating. Interment followed at the Spencerville Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Shancy Nelson, Ronnie Whittington, Allan Whittington, Jimmy Harvey, Dalton Tadlock, Chris Johnson, Chance Johnson and Adam Allensworth. Honorary pallbearers included: Brenda Whittington, Diana Oakes and Christy Tadlock.
Services were under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
