Wanda Neal

Wanda (Walker) Neal was born on Oct. 22, 1943 in Eldorado, Okla., to Bert and Marie (Taylor) Walker. She passed away peacefully at her home on Sept. 18, 2020, at the age of 76. Wanda married William Bailey Neal on Jan. 8, 1960 in Altus, Okla. He preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Wanda enjoyed traveling, sewing and quilting. Her favorite travel destination was the Smokey Mountains. She had a strong work ethic, starting as an LPN and furthering her education to become an RN. She worked with the Paris Regional Medical Center, Paris , Texas, the Emergency Department at Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo, Okla., and also worked at the Choctaw Nation Health Clinic in Hugo.

Wanda is survived by her son, James “Greg” Neal and wife of Hugo; daughters: Tammy Schleyer and husband of Hugo and Daniele Whitt and husband of Paris, Texas; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of funeral services and to honor Wanda, we ask you say a prayer and wish her surviving family love and peace.
