Graveside services for Wanda Sue (Wyatt) Vinyard were held Monday, Feb. 9, 2026 at Valliant Cemetery. Wanda, 74, went to her heavenly home on Feb. 4, 2026, passing away in Garvin, Okla., surrounded by her loving family.

Wanda was born on July 1, 1951 in Fort Towson, Okla., the daughter of Charlie Thomas Wyatt and Mayme Colleen (Rush) Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Clarence Wesley Vinyard; daughter, Carolyn Oxford; brothers: Hubert Wyatt, Curly Wyatt and Gilbert Wyatt; sisters: Betty Jane Bartlett, Mary Irene Wyatt and Linda Sue Harper; and a special nephew.

Wanda spent most of her life in Valliant, Okla., and was a graduate of Valliant High School, Class of 1971. She married her loving husband, Clarence Vinyard on July 21, 1994. Together, they built a legacy of hard work, dedication to their family and love. They bailed hay for numerous local ranches and farms; spending countless hours on the tractor and most importantly, with each other and their children. Wanda’s love for the outdoors didn’t stop at the hay field. She spent hours every year picking pecans and you could often find her sitting out on her porch enjoying a glass of sweet tea and occasionally, a taco or two.

Wanda’s feisty spirit was a trait that she was known for. She never shied away from speaking her mind or standing up for what she believed in. That same spirit made her visits with friends and family, whether in person or over the phone, lively and memorable. Conversations with Wanda were never dull, filled with laughter, stories and wisdom. Above all else, Wanda’s love for her family knew no bounds and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family forever. Wanda is survived by her family; children: Della Lambert of Mangrum, Okla., Delbert Roberts and wife of Sawyer, Okla., Peggy Jackson of Tahlequah, Okla., and Brian Vinyard and wife of Swink, Okla.; sisters: Alvie Andrew of Millerton, Okla., Elizabeth Howard of Millerton, Lois Wells of Murray, Ky., and Sandra Howard of Millerton; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Services were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
