Oklahoma Watch The crowded race for state superintendent of schools is headed for a runoff on the Republican side.

The top two vote getters — educators Robert Franklin and James Taylor — advance to the runoff Aug. 25. Franklin received 22.6% of the vote and Taylor received 19.7%, according to unofficial results.
