Oklahomans can easily fit applying for their REAL ID into their schedule by getting in line remotely while tackling other tasks on their holiday to-do list.

• TSET opens enrollment for free teen vaping cessation program Enrollment for Quit the Hit, a free Instagram-based cessation support program, is now open. The program, funded in Oklahoma by the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET), is designed for teens and young adults aged 13-24 looking to quit vaping.

The Oklahoma Aging Advocacy Leadership Academy (OAALA) is accepting applications for 2025. For 27 years, OAALA has provided free training for individuals to be informed volunteer community leaders and advocates for Oklahoma’s aging population. Applications will be accepted until Jan. 10, 2025.

CHOCTAW COUNTY –– At approximately 4:19 p.m., a 2024 Peterbilt tractor trailer, driven by a Mississippi man, was traveling westbound on US 70, near Swink when the driver departed the highway to the right, causing his load of cattle to shift, and over turned one-quarter time onto passenger side.

MUSKOGEE –– The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Bryson Noel Miller, age 19, of Fort Towson, Okla., entered a guilty plea to one count of murder in Indian Country.
