Fort Towson 4-H wins District, State Forestry

The Fort Towson 4-H forestry Judging Junior and Senior teams won District and State contests at Little River Park on Pine Creek Lake and Eastern State College. 4-H members had to take tests over general forestry knowledge, identify insects and disease, participate in compass and pacing, identify trees and tell how they are used in Oklahoma, and measure saw logs.

Eastern announces spring Honor Rolls

WILBURTON –– Eastern Oklahoma State College has announced honor rolls for the fall 2024 semester. There were 105 students named to the President’s Honor Roll, which requires a 4.0 grade point average in 12 or more credit hours during the semester.

Boswell to celebrate 88th annual Homecoming

The Boswell Homecoming, Oklahoma’s oldest running homecoming, is set for this weekend, June 28-29. Festivities will kick off with a golf tournament Friday at 9 a.m., followed by the annual rodeo at 8 p.m.
