Chamber Director Welcome early spring to Hugo! We at the Chamber of Commerce are gearing up for the many different events that are going on in our community in the near future, we have many different things planned for our community members. Gearing up for the April 8 eclipse that can be seen from Hugo, the Chamber is hosting a Hugo Eclipse Festival on April 6.
Voters who are United States Citizens, residents of Oklahoma, and at least 17.5 years old are eligible to apply for voter registration, however, you must be at least 18 years old to vote. Applications must be received by the Choctaw County Election Board or postmarked no later than midnight, March 8.
Oklahoma State University, in collaboration with the Groundwater Foundation, has launched a national campaign to bring awareness to groundwater access, education and industry training. At the center of the campaign is a televised public service announcement and resource-filled website that illustrate both the vitality of clean water and how populations often take it for granted.

On Jan. 30 and Jan. 31, Mr. Victor Caballero, with deadCenter Film Statewide Education Tour, visited the Hugo Middle School (left) and Hugo High School (above) campuses. deadCenter provided this tour free of cost to our district and the presentation focused on the film industry in Oklahoma, specifically about jobs in the industry, and how to connect with the film business in Oklahoma.
Leadership Oklahoma, a statewide leadership program in its 37th year, is now accepting applications for its 2024-2025 adult class. The organization accepts a class of 52 members each year.
