THE HUGO ASSOCIATION OF CLASSROOM TEACHERS recently presented scholarships to two graduating seniors at Hugo High School in the amount of $500 each. The recipients of the HACT scholarships are Taryn Joe and Jennifer Jones. Presenting the scholarships on behalf of HACT is Angie Bruno (right), HACT President.

Southside Baptist Church, 500 E. Trice, will hold Vacation Bible School May 27-29 for grades pre-K through sixth, each evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Program will be at 11:45 a.m. Saturday followed by a hot dog lunch.

DURANT –– Three districts of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (CNO) have seats up for election to the Tribal Council in 2021, announced the Choctaw Nation Election Board. “The Election Board is now in session and will remain so until completion of the election process,” said Candace Perkins, director of Voter Registration and secretary of the Election Board.

The 59th annual PRCA Rodeo and Homecoming Parade has been scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, June 4.
