OKLAHOMA CITY –– Governor Kevin Stitt announced last week the State of Oklahoma is allocating $10 million in federal CARES Act funding to supply Oklahoma schools with PPE in order to open safely for in-person learning.

ARDMORE –– Four Noble Research Institute research teams each received a two-year, $100,000 grant from Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST). The four grants will be used to help improve various aspects of agriculture by fighting pecan scab, improving tall fescue, building plant defenses against disease and helping plants use nitrogen more efficiently.

Funeral services for George Donald Robins, of Midlothian, Texas, formerly of Hugo, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020 at South Central District Building. George passed away July 26, 2020 at home, at the age of 73.
