Funeral services for Stanley Lewis Butler, Jr., formerly of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Jan.

Judy Kay Hutson, a beacon of kindness and love, passed away peacefully on Jan. 5, 2024, at the age of 79, in Hugo, Okla. Born on Oct. 30, 1944 in Durant, Okla., to Andrew Russell Brown and the Rev. Laura Geraldine (Maples) Brown. Judy’s life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and generous heart.

Bobby Joe Johnson, Sr., of Hugo, Okla., was born on March 29, 1976 in Hugo, the son of Jimmy Himes, Jr. and Audrey Kay Johnson. Bobby passed away Jan. 2, 2024, at the age of 47. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy and brother, Jeremy “Hash” Himes.

Funeral services for Luther David Manasco were held at 11 a.m. Jan.

Linda Kay Jones, born to Cecil and Alma Chadrick on July 20, 1953 in Hugo, Okla., passed from this life unexpectedly on Dec. 30, 2023, at the age of 70.

Beloved sister in Christ, Donna Francis Abbott, known affectionately to all as Donna, was called to her eternal home with the Lord on Jan. 2, 2024. She was a radiant beacon of God’s grace, born on Feb. 5, 1935, in the humble town of Guymon, Okla. Donna’s life was a joyous melody that began in the heartland and came to a peaceful rest in Providence Village, Texas, after courageously facing the trials of dementia and related health challenges.

Barbara Jo Bohan, affectionally known to her family as Sue, passed away peacefully on New Year’s Day, 2024, and gained a new body and mind after a four-year battle with dementia and cancer. Barbara was born on April 11, 1942, in Hugo, Okla., to Melba Weems (Helton) Hernandez and Raymond Helton, and her life was marked by her infectious laughter, keen intelligence and an indomitable spirit.

Memorial services for Barbara Jean Yoder, of Fort Towson, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024 at Valliant Church of Christ. Barbara Jean (Crockett) Yoder, a cherished wife, godmother and friend, passed away on Dec. 17, 2023, at the age of 74. She was born on Dec. 16, 1949 in Brownwood, Texas, to Betty Jean (Hawkins) Crockett. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother. Barbara is survived her husband, Paul Yoder; her God-daughters: Darla Christine Groeger, Shelby Mae Hull and Cortney Lee Morris; along with a host of other friends and loved ones.

Donald Edward Wood (known to most of you as Eddie) was born on Aug. 7, 1943 to Donald and Lawan (Beal) Wood. He peacefully passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s on Dec. 12, 2023 in McKinney, Texas, at the age of 80.
