Funeral services for Esther Hill, of Durant, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. April 7, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mary Jo Pierce were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Boswel, Okla., with Jim Gentry officiating. Burial followed at Restland Cemetery in Boswell. Mary Jo went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2022 in Boswell, at the age of 95.

Glenn Lee Janoe passed from this life on April 2, 2022 in Antlers, Okla. He was born April 3, 1940 in Hugo, Okla., to Paul Burgess Janoe and Fairy Elizabeth (Newman) Janoe.

Joyce Ann Fluellen went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2022. She was 76 years old. Joyce was born on Aug. 10, 1945 in Whittier, Calif., to Vernon and Margaret Alexander. She moved to Hugo, Okla., as a young child and lived here her entire life. She attended Hugo Schools and graduated from Hugo High School in 1963, which she would say was the best class to ever graduate from Hugo High School. She married the love of her life, Ralph Fluellen on June 22, 1963. They were married for 54 years and made their home in Hugo. Joyce was an enthusiastic community leader. She was involved in civic clubs, the Chamber of Commerce and most importantly the annual Hugo Homecoming where she volunteered for many years. Joyce worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and then moved on to Public Service Company for many years until her retirement. Joyce was an active member of Clayton Avenue Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was there to serve anytime the doors were open. She loved her church family.

A celebration of life for Becky Sue Green will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Hugo, Okla., with Pastor Doug McClure and Pastor Danny Mills presiding. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. Becky Sue Green, 64, left her earthly dwelling to be with her Heavenly Lord on April 2, 2022, in her home after a lengthy illness in Hugo, surrounded by her husband and children by her side.

Burial will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. Nancy Louise Rhodes went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 25, 2022 in Hugo, surrounded by her loved ones at the age 84.

Memorial services for Robert Buck, Jr., of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. April 9, 2022 at Cowboy Crossing Church of Choctaw County.
