Carolyn Jo (Cogburn) Strieby passed from this life on May 27, 2024, at the age of 79. She lived in Hugo in her youth and attended both Goodland and then Grant High School. Her family moved to Brawley, Calif., where she met and married a local police officer, Bruce Strieby. They were blessed with five children: Shannon, Lee, Mark, Krisna and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; daughter, Krisna Strieby, one sister and one brother.

Dorothy Harber, aged 78, passed away at her home surrounded by family on May 24, 2024. She was born on May 7, 1946, the daughter of Robert Cleveland Green, Jr. and Dorothy Melda (Clements) Green in Oklahoma City, Okla. Dorothy’s life was marked by devotion to her family and a long-standing commitment to her community in Sulphur, Okla. Since 1980, she called Hugo home, where she enriched the lives of those around her.

Rod Fred Linzman D.O., was born on Dec. 16, 1950 in Chicago, Ill., to Vincent William and Ila Fay (Hawkins) Linzman. He went to be with his Lord and Savior in Waurika, Okla., on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the age of 73.

Mary Elizabeth (Hubbard) Chitwood, of Hugo, Okla., passed away May 3, 2024, at the age of 78. Mary was born on Aug. 20, 1945 in Pampa, Texas, the daughter of Brice Hubbard and Lea Hubbard. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Bill and John Hubbard.
