HUGO –– A Boswell, Okla., woman was arrested in February for arson after being accused of setting fire to a house. According to official reports, when questioned, Tamara Beth Hicks, 37, admitted to officers that she set fire to the residence located at 902 W. Clayton in Hugo.

A life lessons I learned from my life as an east Texas pastor was that I am not to complain. To support my pasturing, I had to sub-teach at the local high school.

Judith Diane Bumpass, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 81. Born on Sept. 20, 1942, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Forrest and Shirley Snyder, Judith’s vibrant spirit and warm heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
