This summer, Hugo FFA member Jaleigh Loper packed her bags and headed to Warner, Okla., for McPeak’s Be a Champ Cattle Camp. She has been around cattle her whole life, but nothing could’ve prepared her for what that week had in store.

County resident pleads guilty to felony assault

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Andrea Dawn Cooper, age 34, of Sawyer, Okla., entered a guilty plea to one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury in Indian Country, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
