HUGO –– Birthday parties are usually planned for kids, and it is no different for Hugo’s biggest baby, elephant Cameron Lee, who is turning 2 years old in a few short days. The elephant family and staff at the Endangered Ark Foundation in Hugo invite you to come take part in celebrating Cameron Lee’s special day on Saturday, July 30, from 11 a.m.

The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma recently donated to the city of Hugo to help fund the construction of an arched entry into the city, to be located on S. Broadway near the Chamber of Commerce. HUGO — After being at large for more than two weeks, Hugo Police arrested Jonathan Dakota Hinsley (Alias: Bolo) on Friday on a felony arrest warrent after he allegedly held two adults hostage in his brother’s home on West Dalton Street in Hugo.
