Alicia Rose

Funeral services for Alicia Rose, of Swink, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Valliant.

Alicia “Lisa” Rena Rose passed away peacefully on Dec. 10, 2023, at the age of 64, surrounded by the ones she loved most. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Retha Rose.

Alicia was born in Dumas, Texas, on April 29, 1959 to parents, James and Retha (Byrd) Rose. She and her best friend, Santos Azuna met in Ferris, Texas, in 1999 and settled in Swink. Alicia spent many years working as a display installer and lead the kitchen at the Fort Towson Corner Store, which will forever be “Lisa’s Kitchen” to all of us and the community she was dedicated to serve for so long.

Loyal, caring, respected, hard-working, with a genuine heart and a loving soul are on the short list to describe. Her smile and infectious laugh could turn around anyone’s day, and she will be greatly missed by so many. She was always ready for a good road adventure, being outdoors, fishing on a pretty afternoon, or just heading to the casino for a night out. Alicia is survived by her husband, Santos Azuna; brother, Ricky Rose; sister, Sheena Keeling; along with a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Valliant.

Interment will follow the service at Valliant Cemetery, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
