Funeral services for Jessy Ray Davis, of Fort Towson, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 18, 2023 at Fort Towson High School Gymnasium. Jessy passed away Aug. 13, 2023, at the age of 45.

Jessy Ray Davis was born on July 31, 1978 in Bend, Ore., the son of Billy Ray Davis and Judy Kay (Mayberry) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jessy Ray was a lifelong resident of the Fort Towson area and was a graduate of Fort Towson High School, class of 1996. He married the love of his life, Marina Del Moral in Fort Towson at Raymond Gary Lake on July 21, 2001. They made their home there in Fort Towson and is where they raised their loving family. Jessy Ray worked as a welder and traveled all over the county.

If Jessy Ray wasn’t on the road welding, you could find him with his family and friends. He enjoyed riding anything with a kill switch, driving the dirt roads and loved to take his grandsons cruising around on the side-byside. Jessy Ray was also a big hunter and fishman, loving to spend time in the woods and on the lake year-round. He was known for his fun-loving and carefree personality. Jessy Ray never met a stranger and would always be there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Jessy Ray, and he loved them unconditionally. Although his passing has left a void in many lives, his memory will live on in all who knew and loved him. Jessy Ray is survived by his wife, Marina Davis; son, Rucus Ray Davis and wife, Harleigh of Hugo, Okla.; daughters: Anecia Ray Compton and husband, Tallon of Fort Towson and Anaya Helen Davis of Fort Towson; grandchildren: Kruze Kash Davis, Kutter Crew Compton and Ridge Ray Compton; sister, Amy Bryd; brother, Jason Davis; along with a host nieces, nephews, other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Aug. 17, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel in Hugo.

Interment will follow the service at Swink Cemetery with Shawn Robertson officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
