Funeral services for Mary Feco, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 14, 2020 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mary passed away Sept. 10, 2020, at the age of 82.

Mary Ella (Ellis) Feco was born April 29, 1938 to Anna Ruth (Bush) and James Clayton Ellis in the Forney Community. She graduated from Hugo High School in 1956, later went to beauty school and was a beautician for several years. She married her soulmate, Andy Feco on Sept. 18, 1963 and they made their life in Hugo. She was a member of the Rose Hill Society, the Jaycee’s and was very involved in the community for many years and received several awards for her dedication. She helped Andy in his body shop and later, she bought the Kiddie Korral and Kasual Korner and raised both her girls in the store. She also had several style shows, which she loved and had all the local kids modeling all the latest fashions. In 1986, she had the opportunity to buy a barbecue restaurant, which became known as “The Cedar Shed” and poured her heart and soul into it and made it her own. In 1996, she added Feco’s Restaurant and had some of the best employees in both locations, she served the community for many years until her retirement.

She loved cooking, working in the yard on her flowers, going to the cabin and riding four wheelers, riding the back roads with her lifelong friend, Martha Short as well as all her friends. She loved life, doing for others and she was one of the biggest pranksters and was always pulling something on someone. She was an inspiration to so many and had such a positive impact on many lives she touched throughout the years.

After retirement, she loved to volunteer at the local food bank and was an Auxiliary Member of the Choctaw Memorial Hospital, served on the Farm Services Agency Board for many years, as well.

Mary adored her kids and grandkids, loved working puzzles with Brooke, loved cattle and horses and also watching Drake build his cattle business. She was a devout Catholic and played

She is survived by her husband, Andy Feco, of the home; two daughters: Shelly Baskin and husband, Gary from Antlers and Mandy Smith of Hugo; grandchildren: Brooke Dougherty and Terry Lewis of Antlers, Drake Tucker of Hugo, Eric Baskin of Antlers and Paige and Josh Johnson of Antlers; great-grandchildren: Landyn Dougherty, Hayden Lewis, Londyn Johnson, Jasper Johnson and Sadie Johnson; sisters-in-law: Catherine (Feco) Meister and husband, Tuck and Imogene Ellis. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, many friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by both her parents; brothers: Gail Lee Ellis and Jimmie Ellis; sister; Anna Griggs and brothers-in-law: Bill Feco and W.F. Griggs.

A rosary was held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hugo.

Interment followed the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Father Todd Nance officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Paid Announcement
