Samuel Grady Richards, Jr.

Funeral services for Samuel Grady Richards, Jr., of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Samuel passed away Aug. 20, 2023, at the age of 42.

Samuel Grady Richards, Jr. was born on March 3, 1981, in Hugo, Okla., the son of Samuel Richards, Sr. and Nellie Francies Richards.

He was preceded in death by his brother, William Jack Richards.

Samuel was a lifelong resident of the Hugo community and was a member of the Hugo High School graduating class of 1999. Sam was a Wal-Mart associate for many years. He enjoyed going to the movies and playing video games. Sam enjoyed spending time with friends and family, but he especially loved the time he spent with his nephews. Sam will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Samuel is survived by his parents, Samuel Richards, Sr. and Nellie Richards of Hugo; brother, Matthew Richards and wife of Hugo; two nephews, and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo.

Interment will follow the service at Springs Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Doug McClure and Bro. Russell Miller officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
