The Christmas light boat parade at Raymond Gary lake has omitted the word Christmas from their signs and advertising and in each article I’ve read. I’ve always felt like our Christian beliefs here in Southeast Oklahoma were safe but apparently not.

OKLAHOMA CITY – George Burns is officially the State Senator for District 5 after being sworn into office in a scaled-down ceremony held at the State Capitol on Monday. The oath of office was given in the Senate chamber in small groups to accommodate for COVID-19 safety protocols and ongoing Capitol construction projects.

Wrong of networks to declare election winner

Joe Biden has made it clear that he will do his best to “unify” the country following an election in which more than 71 million Americans — nearly half the electorate voted for Donald Trump. It is an admirable goal. But any chance of that happening depends on the American people having confidence that the election outcome resulted from a fair and honest process. Though never perfect, our electoral system has generally instilled confidence for the past 231 years, which is why it has worked so well.
