Choctaw County OSU Extension will be hosting the 2025 “Best of Wheat” Bread Baking Contest on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025 at the Choctaw County Extension office.

BUFF PARKER FIELD — There’s a buzz in the air out at Gene Nesbit Stadium on Hugo’s north side as new head football Coach Scott Schier works at a frenzied pace on a million details to get the field house, equipment and assistant coaches all calibrated to take the 2025 Hugo Buffaloes to the football playoffs. Coach Schier was selected by the Hugo Board of Education earlier this year to assume the Head Coach’s position as previous Coach Krystopher Gross resigned to accept a coaching position elsewhere.
