Hugo city councilors met in regular session on June 17 to discuss several individuals for possible employment as interim city manager. After a lengthy executive session, councilwoman Robbie Ridenour made a motion to appoint Richard Higginbotham as interim city manager.

DAISY — Legendary Oklahoma aviator Wiley Post and his colleague Will Rogers, along with a large host of Oklahoma Astronauts and innovative aviation professionals would be so proud today to learn how their vision for Aviation Technology in the State of Oklahoma is growing and flourishing and that Oklahoma’s Choctaw Nation has become a strategic partner in expanding their vision into the realm of emerging drone and autonomous flight at the tribe’s 44,000 acre site near Daisy and Redden, Okla.
Last Tuesday, June 17, the Choctaw Nation gathered with Chief Gary Batton, Assistant Chief Jack Austin, Jr., James Grimsley and numerous other Tribal dignitaries and councilors, along with representatives of the Federal Aviation Admiinistration (FAA), for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially mark the new opening of an 8,324 square-foot Aviation Technology Center. The ambulance service started off with one ambulance and was considered a basic life support service.
