HUGO — The Hugo Board of Education made decisions Monday night concerning who will be at the helm of each of the city’s schools. After a lengthy executive session, the board returned to make only one change for the coming year.

HUGO — The newly seated Hugo city council, now led by recently-elected Mayor Tina Bunn, voted 4-1 to terminate the employment of current Hugo City Manager Leah Thomas during a special council meeting Friday. After a brief executive session, council members returned to open public session and a motion was made by Robbie Ridenour, seconded by Charles Elswick, to terminate the employment of City Manager Leah Thomas.
