FORT TOWSON — Learn the historic art of woodturning in a hands-on workshop at the Fort Towson Historic Site from Wednesday, May 14, through Friday, May 16. The workshop will take place from 6-9 p.m. each day. The classes will be led by members of the Southeast Oklahoma Woodturners.

Contributing Writer After losing an 11-10 nailbiter to Roff , Soper’s Lady Red Bears clawed their way past Buffalo Valley to advance to the Class A State playoffs. Although unconfirmed, this is believed to be the first time the Lady Red Bears have ever been to the State Playoffs twice in one academic year in the school’s 120-year history.

SALINA — The Hugo Buffaloes got off to an outstanding start in the Regional 3A-5 playoffs in Salina Friday, led by Dakota Coulter who had one of those games that baseball players only dream about. Opening against the Morris Eagles Friday in the Regional Tournament at Salina, Coulter drove in four runs on two hits to lead the Buffaloes to a 14-0 slam win over the Eagles.
