HUGO –– Local restaurant Pit Stop BBQ & Burgers will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR) in early January 2024. America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independentlyowned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on Jan.

The name of the USS Oklahoma — a ship that was first commissioned in 1916 and served until it capsized following the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor — lives on. In honor of the enduring legacy of the USS Oklahoma and the 429 men who went down with the ship, construction commenced on a new submarine bearing the same name in 2019 with an anticipated delivery in the mid-2020s.

The Oklahoma State Department of Education recently released the statewide School Report Card, showing results for testing in Spring, 2023. “While these scores show data from previous years, they are simply unacceptable,” said State Superintendent Ryan Walters.
