The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Chayse Anthony Beard, age 24, of Hugo, Okla., was sentenced to 57 months in prison for one count of possession of an unregistered firearm, and 57 months in prison for one count of possession of certain material involving the sexual exploitation of a minor. The court ordered the terms to be served concurrently.

Hugo News Sports At the halfway point of the season, the Buffaloes and Lady Buffs are both experiencing changes and growth that could affect their playoff runs. Hugo was back home last week for the first time since winter break, and there were noticeable personnel changes to both teams.

The Oklahoma Rodeo Pageants Council is announcing major changes to the format for the Miss Rodeo Oklahoma competition scheduled for June 9–12, 2026, in Woodward, Okla. The changes are designed to make the pageant more attractive and affordable to contestants across its four age divisions.
