Once a U.S. Supreme Court ruling effectively declared much of eastern Oklahoma is composed of tribal reservations, tribal governments became responsible for prosecuting many crimes committed by Indians against Indians on those reservation lands.

BRYAN COUNTY –– The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating an in custody death at the Bryan County Jail. On March 19, 2022, the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the OSBI after an inmate was found unresponsive in his cell.

BOSWELL — The Boswell Scorpions took a couple of big games last week, starting with a solid 5-3 win over Calera. The Scorpions put together eight hits and plated five runs with three errors in the field.

A big second inning at the plate for the Rattan RAMS put their recent game against the LeFlore Savages on ice before a home crowd. The big inning was led by Carson Bailey, Ben Ellis and Seth Springfield, who all drove in runs in the second on hard-hit singles.

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has announced that it has an open investigation into the Kingfisher Football Program. The Kingfisher Police Department requested OSBI assistance in February regarding accusations of misconduct within the program.
