• Telling your agriculture story is more important than ever With more than 98% of Americans having little to no direct connection to farming or ranching, now, more than ever, there’s a need and opportunity for the agriculture community to tell its story. In honor of National Ag Day, the Oklahoma Beef Council is sharing one story of an Oklahoma beef producer who understands the importance of inspiring the next generation to get involved.

The Oklahoma House of Representatives unanimously approved a resolution declaring last Thursday, March 24, 2022, as Oklahoma Agriculture Day. House Resolution 1046 was authored by House Agriculture and Rural Development Committee Chair Rep.

The Iris Garden Club of Hugo held its annual open meeting on Feb. 28 at ACE Hardware.

Funeral services for Wilbur Dean Gage, of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 1 p.m. April 2, 2022 at South Central District Building.

The North Star Texas Coin Club will present a coin show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ, 3535 Lamar Ave. Free appraisals will be offered. Admission and parking are also free, and security will be provided. Several vendors will be on hand showcasing U.S., world and ancient coins as well as paper money, tokens, medals and collectibles.
