The Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative (OHAI), KEDDO Area Agency on Aging and Rural Health Projects are collaborating to provide the Tai Chi for Better Balance program. The classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 3 p.m. beginning Nov. 2 through Dec. 16, 2021 at the Choctaw County Public Library, located at 703 E. Jackson St. in Hugo.

A great-looking weather pattern is coming from Thursday through Sunday with sunny skies and a steady warming trend. Temperatures at night will be near the freezing mark. Another strong cold front is expected around Nov. 12 with highs near 60s.

PUSHMATAHA COUNTY –– The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating after a shooting resulted in the death of one man. Just after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, the Pushmataha County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance with a shooting near the intersection of County Road 4330 and Highway 147.
