Due to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases and the Delta variant and in awareness of public health, the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (CNO) has announced the cancelation of large gatherings and events, including the 2021 Labor Day Festival, due to the increase of COVID-19 cases in the area.
The Hugo Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed the Sawmill Family Pub to the area Aug. 5 with a ribbon cutting ceremony held by the pub’s outdoor stage, where live music is performed every Friday and Saturday night.

TRAINING WITH THE BEST! — Members of the 2021 Hugo Buffaloes continued their summer training journey last week with a surprise appearance by several Guardsmen, at the invitation of Coach Krystopher Gross. The Guardsmen showed the Buffaloes several individual fitness moves to help get them into the best possible physical condition for the upcoming football season.
