BOSWELL — Boswell’s Scorpions took two wins off of Achille last week with the ladies prevailing 40-29 and the men, 52-34. Kamria Williams led the Lady Scorpions with 11, followed by C’Miya Williams 8, Liberty Pierce and Ashton Eastwood 6, Christian Jeffries 4, Jaden Brown 3, and Miah VanDuren 2.

I am a retired basketball coach from Byng and a member of the following Hall of Fames: The Oklahoma Coaches Association, the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association, as well as the Oklahoma Tennis Coaches Association and Murray State College.

RAMS ARE MC-6 CHAMPIONS! The Rattan Ram basketball team recently defeated the previously undefeated Valliant Bulldogs (77-52) after previous wins over Fort Towson (48-32) and Haworth (72-36.) Members of the team include: Alisha Williams-Johnson, Coach Michael Clay, Grady Grimmett, Coy Green, Luke Clay, Logan Smith, Cale Clay, Cal Birchfield, Christian Hickman, Davin Parsons, Keegan Robertson, Jace May, Jake Echelle, Bryce Jackson, Jonah Vance, Cailin Jamison, Courtney Reese, and Assistant Coach Melanie Burgess. Players getting special honors for the tournament included: Cal Birchfield — All Tournament; Jace May — Most Valuable Player and Cale Clay — All Tournament.
