Now it is true, most of us do have a person who is a — urn — least favorite relative, but we tolerate even them on that special holiday for a few hours. We simply choose to avoid them as much as possible and concentrate on making the day warm and bright for everyone in the house.

Sunny days and clear nights will be the story in our weather through next weekend. Afternoon highs will be in the 60s Wednesday but cooling to the upper-40s to low-50s for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. A pretty nice weather pattern for the first week of winter.

BOSWELL ANIMAL KARE hosted its third annual Christmas Coloring Contest! Judging was performed by the BAK staff who admired the talent represented on each coloring sheet! Iris Garden Club has progressive dinner for Christmas

The Iris Garden Club of Hugo met on Dec. 14 for their Christmas progressive dinner. Everyone met at Harolynn and Jerry Wofford’s Rose Cottage for appetizers. Christmas lights and decorations welcomed everyone on the front porch. Once inside, guests enjoyed Victorian decor, pink Christmas trees, angels and Santas.
