The American Soybean Association (ASA) wants to award a scholarship to an outstanding high school senior interested in pursuing agriculture. The Soy Scholarship is a $5,000 one-time award presented to a high school senior who plans to pursue agriculture as an area of study at any accredited college or university in the 2021-22 academic year.

A few months ago, we relocated to a completely different part of the state. Sold our house, packed up everything that wasn’t nailed down and dumped our lives into another home in another city.

Boswell Public School has a tradition that allows sixth graders to adventure and explore educational experiences at Camp Goddard that imprint memories to last a lifetime. Camp Goddard is a four-day environmental science camp located in Sulphur, Okla.

THE HUGO BAND booster club recently held a raffle to give away a spirit basket. The drawing was held on Oct. 9 at the Homecoming game. The winner was Sharon Wesley (center). She is pictured with band booster James Cochnauer and Joseph Beck, a freshman who is in the percussion section of the band.

Thursday is looking like the best day of the week with sunshine and 85 degrees, but then a cold front is going to bring a chance of a thunderstorm on Friday. High temperatures will only be in the low 60s on Saturday and by Monday, we may get stuck in the low 50s in the afternoon. Sunday is definitely looking like the best day of the weekend for outdoor activities.

CHLOE CLEMENTS (LEFT), an eighth grader at Valliant Middle School, was recently selected to serve on the Special Olympics State Youth Activation Committee. The State YAC is a group of youth composed of members with and without intellectual disabilities from across the state.
