OKLAHOMA CITY –– Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, has filed a bill to require legislative approval on decisions by the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Commission that would affect a property’s status as a state park.

Southside Baptist Church, located at 500 E. Trice in Hugo, will present “O Holy Night” children’s Christmas nativity play at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19. All are welcome in this special remembrance of Christ’s birth.

Mid-to-late week will bring some off-and-on rain to the area and then when the weekend arrives we are going to see the chance of rain and the temperature going down. High temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will only be around 50 degrees and dropping to near the freezing mark at night.

Boswell Animal Kare recently hosted its fourth annual Christmas Coloring Contest! Judging was performed by the BAK staff who admired the talent represented on each coloring sheet!
