Football Contest Winner

Lindy Loftin (right), of Hugo, was this week’s winner of the Hugo News Football Contest after choosing 11 out of 13 games correctly. Loftin guessed closest (371) to the Hugo Buffaloes’ total offense figure (350) to edge out Frank Wolf. Right, Loftin collects the $50 weekly prize from Ernest McCarty of Security First National Bank, where he obtained his winning entry blank. Birth Announcement

Micah B. and Chelsea Schulze, of Canyon, Texas, announce the birth of their baby girl. Elizabeth Therese Schulze was born at 4:24 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2020 at Baptist St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. She weighed eight pounds and 2 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long. She is the couple’s first child. Proud grandparents are Bruce and Rhonda Schulze of Kingston and Marvin and Lesann Hartman of Umbarger, Texas. Great-grandparents are Millie Armstrong of Kingston, Lorene Hartman of Umbarger and Walter and Anita Betting of Rio Rancho, N.M. Mr. Schulze was a former high school English teacher at Boswell High School for three years. He currently teaches at Hereford Preparatory Academy in Hereford, Texas.
