Choctaw County Extension Office, 415 E. Rena in Hugo, will be holding a program for people with diabetes and their families and caregivers. The instructor will be Kris Bailey. The classes will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. each Monday in August, Aug. 4, 11, 18 and 25. The program is open to anyone with pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes and/or their families. Senator David Bullard speaks in Hugo

HUGO — Oklahoma State Senator David Bullard spoke at a Town Hall meeting at the Reynolds Library in Hugo Tuesday, July 29, bringing a dozen attendies up-to-date on this year’s legislative session which he called “a session of surprises.” Bullard told the group his next term in the Oklahoma Senate would be his last due to term limits. “After that?” he questioned. “I’m going to wait and see what the Good Lord and my wife have in store for me… maybe something back in the education field.”
