BOSWELL — The focus of Choctaw County will swing west to Boswell on Thursday, April 16 where a Town Hall Meeting has been called by a number of area officials. The ever-increasing buzz relating to the possible location of a massive 22-unit gasfired power generation plant to be constructed in concert with a co-located modern data center, has western Choctaw County citizens seeking more information about both short… and long-term ramifications of such a plant’s impact on the area.

Little River Chapter DAR As we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country in July, the Little River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Fort Towson VFW and Auxiliary would like to remind you why we Americans observe President’s Day each year on the third Monday of February. It is often celebrated to honor all those who served as the nation’s presidents and, since 1879, has been the Federal Holiday honoring the founding father, George Washington, who led the Continental Army to victory in the American Revolutionary War.
